No. 15 Lady Raiders Earn Highest Ranking In Program History|
Todd Petty had guided Texas Tech to its highest ranking in school history.

LUBBOCK, Texas - When head coach Todd Petty took over the Texas Tech women's tennis program during the 2008-09 season, the Lady Raiders entered the season ranked No. 74 nationally.
On Tuesday, Texas Tech (14-4, 4-0 Big 12) reached new heights, as the Lady Raiders jumped to No. 15 in this week's Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Top 75 poll.
During Petty's tenure as head coach, the Lady Raiders have played in 116 matches, earning a national ranking in 94 of those matches, including being ranked inside the Top 25 for 33 consecutive matches heading into Saturday's Big 12 Conference showdown in Austin with Texas. The winner will be in the driver's seat for the league title.
Petty is currently in his fifth season at the helm of the program and has compiled a 72-44 record, including a 33-10 mark over the past two seasons. Over the last two seasons, Texas Tech has gone 7-7 against ITA Top 30 teams.
