LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's tennis team returns home this week after a three-match weekend road trip. The Red Raiders (3-14, 1-7) will be facing a Texas A&M team with a record of 9-7 overall and 5-1 in conference. They are ranked No. 60 in the nation. The match is set for 1:30 p.m. at the Athletic training Center on the Texas Tech campus.

"This will definitely be a tough match for us but I know we will go out there and give everything we've got, " head coach Virginia Brown said. "I think the attitude on the team has been good lately and our girls will keep fighting for the rest of the season. There is no quit in any of them."

The Red Raiders will be playing their first home match since March 12. This past weekend they played a three-match road trip against Lamar, Rice and Houston. The women went 2-1 on the trip, defeating Lamar by a 6-3 count.

The Tech team is led by senior Amanda Earhart-Savell. Earhart has started every match for the Red Raiders at the No. 1 singles position and comes into the A&M match with a record of 5-12. Ayako Suzuki, a freshman from Tokyo, will hold down the No. 2 position for the women. She has a record of 8-9 on the year, the best winning percentage of anyone on Tech's roster.
