LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's tennis team will travel to College Station, Texas, on Thursday at noon and 6 p.m. to battle Sam Houston State and Texas A&M.

The Red Raiders women's team enters the contest posting a 7-6 overall and 3-5 in Big 12 play and is coming off a win against conference opponent Oklahoma. Tech went the length of the match before defeating the Sooners, 4-3.

Tech earned its final two points of the match in the No. 5 and 6 positions. It was the first time in the bottom two positions the Red Raiders have won in five matches, since hosting Colorado at home, March 4.

The 12th-ranked Texas A&M's women's team is 13-3 overall and 3-1 in league play. A&M leads the all-time series, 2-19 with Tech's last win coming in 1987.

Following tomorrow's match the Red Raiders will return to action on Saturday, April 7 in Las Cruces, NM to battle New Mexico State.
