Lady Raiders Climb To No. 28 In ITA Poll|

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech closed out its regular season last weekend and is reaping the benefits of the two victories, as the Intercollegiate Tennis Association has elevated the Lady Raiders from No. 34 to No. 28 in this week's poll.
Despite winning, the Lady Raiders have slipped in the polls in recent weeks, falling from No. 18 to No. 34 and now climbing back up to No. 27 this week.
The Lady Raiders have now been ranked for 96 consecutive matches in the ITA Top 75 rankings, dating back to Feb. 12, 2011, when Texas Tech entered the poll at No. 69.
Kilgo, a junior from Crawford, upset No. 38 Petra Neidermayer of Kansas State in straight sets on Sunday. The win vaulted Kilgo into the 120th spot on the list.
Kiro, a freshman from South Africa, won her 14th consecutive match and improved to 27-6 on the season. Her efforts landed her the 125th and final spot in the rankings.
The doubles tandem of Kilgo and Samantha Adams are No. 51 in this week's doubles rankings. The duo is 20-8 on the season, marking the third consecutive season the pair have reached 20 wins. The Lady Raider tandem has now been ranked for 46 consecutive matches, dating back to March 1, 2013.
The Lady Raiders will now wait until Sunday for the seeding in the Big 12 Championships slated for Fort Worth, Texas, Apr. 24-27.
