LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech returned to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Top 20 on Tuesday, checking in at No. 19 this week.

Coupled with No. 6 Texas’ loss to No. 24 Texas A&M, 4-3, Tuesday night, the Lady Raiders also moved into a tie for first place with Texas. The Lady Raiders are 16-4, 6-1 in the Big 12, while the Longhorns are 13-6, 6-1 in the Big 12.

Samantha Adams made her first-ever appearance in the ITA women’s singles rankings. Adams entered the rankings at No. 102.

Rashmi Teltumbde made her fourth straight appearance in the ranks, holding her position at No. 120.

The doubles tandem of Adams and Kenna Kilgo fell from No. 22 to No. 28 in this week’s ITA women’s doubles rankings.

The Lady Raiders host No. 44 Missouri on Friday at 6 p.m. and Iowa State on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at the McLeod Tennis Center. If the Lady Raiders can sweep the two matches, they can earn a share of the 2012 Big 12 title.
