Cowgirls Top Red Raiders In Women's Tennis April 16, 1999 STILLWATER, Oklahoma - The Texas Tech women's tennis team's losing streak reached nine matches after a 7-2 defeat at the hands of Oklahoma State University on Friday. The Cowgirls took four singles matches and swept the doubles competition en route to the victory. With the loss, Tech falls to 2-8 in the Big 12 (4-15 overall). Sophomore Alenka Ovin again led the way for the Red Raiders. Ovin, playing No. 2 singles defeated Dominika Olszewska 4-6, 6-2, 7-5. The win moves her record on the year to 12-7 overall and evened her Big 12 mark at 5-5. Freshman Noel Ruiz picked up the second win for Tech. She defeated Cameron Stoudt 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 at No. 6 singles. With the win, Ruiz tied Zana Zlebnik for second place on the team with seven wins. The Red Raiders will be in action again Saturday, April 17 at the University of Oklahoma. The match is slated to start at 10:00 am. Singles: Doubles:
