LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's tennis team will head to College Station for the Big 12 Championship April 25-28. The ninth-seeded Red Raiders will face No. 8 seed Colorado on Thursday, April 25th at 10 a.m. at the Texas A&M Tennis Center.

The Red Raiders start the tournament with an overall record of 9-12, 4-7 in Big 12 play, while Colorado has a record of 10-11 overall and 4-7 in the Big 12.

If Tech advances to the second round of the tournament, they will face Texas, the number one seed. Texas will go into the weekend with a record of 18-5 overall, 11-0 in the conference.

In previous play, the buffaloes beat Tech 5-2 at Colorado, and while in Austin, Texas beat Tech 6-1. The Red Raiders have defeated Missouri, Baylor, Iowa State and Nebraska in Big 12 play this season.
