Women's Tennis Falls To Tyler JC April 23, 1999 LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's tennis team lost to Tyler JC by a score of 5-4 at the Municipal Tennis Courts. The loss was the 11th in a row for Tech, dropping its overall mark to 4-17 (2-9 in Big 12). Individually, Alenka Ovin won for the 14th time this season, defeating Majorie Terburgh 6-3, 6-4. Her overall record stands at a team-leading 14-7. Amanda Earhart won at No. 3 singles, beating Ann Roslund 4-6, 7-6, 6-3. Noel Ruiz won her eighth match of season. She now stands alone in second place on the squad in singles victories. Earhart and senior Misty Meyer who was playing in her final collegiate regular season match, defeated Brandie Mueller and Lindsay Tainter by a score of 9-8. The Red Raiders will be in action again on April 29 - May 2 at the Big 12 Tennis Championship in College Station. Texas A&M is the host school. Singles: Doubles:
