Lubbock, Texas - No. 49 Texas Tech women's tennis will play in the Big 12 Championships this weekend in Waco, Texas, at the Baylor Tennis Complex. The Lady Raiders, receiving a bye in the first round, will face Nebraska (fifth seed), Friday, April 28, at 8:30 a.m.

Tech received a fourth seed, which is the highest seed received in Big 12 history. The Red and Black finished the regular season with a record of 14-7 and 7-4 in Big 12 play. Tech finished fourth in the Big 12, the highest finish in program history while playing in the Big 12.

Cigdem Duru was fifth in the conference at the No. 2 singles position with a record of 4-7. Duru ended the regular season with an overall record of 14-6. Erin Hunter and Katja Kovacic led the conference at No. 3 doubles with a record of 8-3. They ended the season with an overall record of 14-6.
