LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech's interim head coach Todd Petty announced the signing of Caroline Starck of Williams Bay, Wisc., for the fall of 2009 today.

Starck is a multi-sport athlete at Williams Bay High School, as she is a three-time Wisconsin state champion in tennis and was the MVP of her state champion softball team. The United States Tennis Association recently named her the Midwest Section Player of the Year and she is a Top 100 recruit on www.tennisrecruiting.com.

"We look forward to Caroline joining our team," Petty stated. "She has the work ethic and desire we are looking for in our program and will have an immediate impact on the Lady Raiders team."

Starck is the first signee for the fall of 2009 for the Lady Raiders.
