Lady Raiders Enter NCAA Championships No. 17

Samantha Adams is ranked No. 80 in singles and has teamed with Kenna Kilgo for a No. 16 ranking.

LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech will enter the 2013 NCAA Championships ranked No. 17 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Top 75.

It is the highest final regular season ranking in program history. Last year, the Lady Raiders entered the NCAA Championships ranked No. 19.

Samantha Adams will enter the NCAA Championships ranked No. 80, while Adams and Kenna Kilgo are ranked No. 16.

The Lady Raiders, who are seeded No. 16 in the NCAA Championships, will host the first two rounds of the NCAA Championships at the McLeod Tennis Center May 11-12. On May 11, No. 15 Duke (14-9) will take on No. 37 Ole Miss (16-13) at 11 a.m., followed by No. 17 Texas Tech (19-6) against No. 71 College of Charleston (20-8) at 2 p.m. The winners will meet on Sunday, May 11 at 1 p.m. Tickets for the event are $5 for adults and $3 for students and children per day.
