This is Texas Tech’s first-ever NCAA appearance and there first round opponent is a familiar foe. “I like the draw,” said Lady Raider head coach Todd Petty. “All of the teams in the tournament are good, or they would not be here, but the fact that we have the opportunity to play against someone we are familiar with can make a difference.” Texas Tech and Utah met in Las Vegas on Feb. 25, with the Utes taking a 4-3 win. The loss snapped a six-match win streak for the Lady Raiders. The winner will take on the winner of the No. 10 Miami and North Florida.
