LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech head women's tennis coach Todd Petty has announced his team's schedule for the 2009-2010 season. The Lady Raiders will host three home matches during non-conference play and six home matches in conference play.

The Lady Raiders begin their season with four tournaments during September and October. They will compete in the Midland Invitational from September 18-20 and the UNM Invitational in Albuquerque, New Mexico, from September 25-27. Coach Petty's squad will travel to Columbia, Missouri for the Missouri Tournament from October 2-4. Their final tournament will be the ITA Regionals in Waco from October 16-20.

The team opens non-conference play with three dual matches at home. On January 22, the Lady Raiders host UT-Arlington. Tulane visits Lubbock on January 23. The University of New Mexico will be in town on January 24.

The Lady Raiders then have seven dual matches on the road. The team will face the University of North Texas in Denton on February 6 before taking on Arizona (February 13) and Rice (February 14) in Houston. The squad will be in Mississippi for their next two matches. On February 19, Texas Tech will take on Southern Miss in Hattiesburg and Ole Miss on February 20 in Oxford. The squad completes non-conference play in Reno, Nevada, when they meet Nevada-Reno on February 27 and San Francisco on February 28. The Lady Raiders open conference play with three home matches in March. They host Baylor (March 3), Oklahoma (March 19), and Oklahoma State (March 21). They travel to Austin for their match against Texas on March 26 before returning home to host Texas A&M on March 28.

Coach Petty's squad will take on Nebraska on April 9 and Iowa State on April 11 before hosting Colorado on April 16 and Missouri on April 18.

The final two dual matches for the 2009-2010 season will be on the road against Kansas on April 23 and Kansas State on April 25.

The Big 12 Championships will be held April 30 - May 2, in Austin, Texas.
