Red Raiders Record Second Largest Crowd In The Nation in 2012|
The 1,047 fans against Texas marked the second most attended match in the nation in 2012.

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech Red Raider Tennis received several attendance honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
The Red Raiders match with No. 15 Texas was the second-most attended match nationally and one of only two matches to eclipse 1,000 fans last season. On Apr. 7, there were 1,047 fans in attendance, as No. 22 Texas Tech defeated No. 15 Texas, 4-3, at the McLeod Tennis Center.
Texas Tech also recorded the No. 1 attendance average for the month of April, averaging 852 fans per match. That total was 350 fans more than second place Texas A&M.
For the season, the Red Raiders finished fifth in average attendance. Georgia won the 2012 attendance race, averaging 464 fans per outing. Texas A&M (458) was second, while Michigan (422), TCU (391) and Texas Tech (376) round out the top five.
Texas Tech finished second in the Big 12 Conference and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Championships. It was the Red Raiders' sixth straight appearance in the NCAA Championships and 12th overall.
