Lady Raider Tennis Hits the Road for Baylor Invitational|

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech women's tennis will open the 2006 fall season on the road in Waco, Texas. The 2006 Baylor Fall Invitational is set to begin on Friday, Sept. 15, and will go through Sunday, Sept. 17.
In doubles action, senior Lakann Wagley will team with junior Janet Durham in the gold draw of the first round of 16, taking on Santie Selport and Marta Marcinkowska from Tulsa. In the green draw, sophomore Samantha van der Drift and freshman Kerryn Potgieter will face Sam Houston State 's Brooke Mills and Patricia Manzur. The final doubles duo for Tech will be sophomore Anne Sophie Fankam and junior transfer Brenna Jackson playing the winner of Lamar and Abilene Christian after receiving a first-round bye.
Singles competition will include Tech versus TCU in two matches in the gold draw, Potgieter against TCU's Kewa Nichols and Durham taking on TCU's Karine Ionesco. In the green draw, Wagley will face OU's Chelsea Orr, van der Drift against Pamela Martinez from Lamar, and Fankam versus Rice's Alanna Rodgers. Rounding out the first-round of 32 in the white draw will be Tech's Jackson taking on Jo-Ann Van Aerde from Louisville.
Fifteen teams will participate in the tournament, including Baylor, Texas Tech and Oklahoma from the Big 12. The tournament is separated into three brackets, gold, green and white. First-round of play will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday, with finals being played on Sunday.
