LUBBOCK, Texas - The Lady Raiders have reached the final scheduled tournament of the fall campaign with their entry into the 2009 Wilson / ITA Regional Championships beginning on Friday and concluding on Tuesday in Waco at the Baylor Tennis Center.

Singles play in the qualifying draw will be begin on Friday and will continue on Saturday. Play for those in the singles main draw will begin on Saturday.

The Lady Raiders will have four players in the qualifying singles draw and four players in the main draw. Caroline Starck (Fr), Lorena Aviles (Fr), Stefanie Peana (So), and Kerryn Potgieter (Sr) begin singles play on Friday. In the main draw, Kelsy Garland (Jr), Elizabeth Ullathorne (Fr), Natalie Leitch (So), and Sandra Dynka (Fr) will have their opening singles matches beginning on Saturday.

Doubles play will begin on Saturday. The Texas Tech doubles pairings are all in the main draw and will begin play on Saturday.

The Lady Raider doubles will feature Kelsy Garland and Elizabeth Ullathorne, Natalie Leitch and Stefanie Peana, Caroline Starck and Kerryn Potgieter, and Lorena Aviles and Sandra Dynka.

The singles and doubles champions from this regional event will earn an automatic berth to the 2009 Division 1 ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships at Yale University in November.
