Volleyball Ranked Sixth in First District Rankings of Season

Red Raiders One of Seven Big 12 Conference Schools in District's Top 10

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech volleyball team was ranked sixth in the first NCAA Division I District 5 rankings, released by the American Volleyball Coaches Association Tuesday.

The Red Raiders were one of seven Big 12 schools among the top-10 programs in the rankings. Other Big 12 schools included Nebraska (1), Texas A&M (2), Texas (3), Colorado (4), Kansas State (5) and Baylor (9).

Tech (13-1) enters Big 12 Conference play riding a four-match winning streak. The Raiders will travel to Missouri on Friday and play Iowa State on Saturday.
