One of the most dynamic players on the team who can play most any position on the court. Could see time either on the rightside or in the middle. A great athlete who can hit the slide or off two feet. A solid defender that has added a jump-serve to her attack. One of the team?s strongest hitters.

2002: Third on team in kills with 343 while starting in all 104 games for Tech...her .264 hitting pecentage was second among starters...set a new season-high in aces with 26, which ranked second on team...her 402 points was third on the team...set a new career high for kills in a match with 20 against Kansas (11/6)...her five service aces against Iowa State in the conference opener is tied for sixth for most aces in a match...named to the Four Points Sheraton/Red Raider Classic All-Tournament team...turned in two double-doubles.

2001: Was rock solid in the middle for Texas Tech... tallied 267 kills...team-high 73 total blocks...100 digs...15 double-digit kill matches...had a season-high 16 kills against New Mexico State on Nov. 7th...was named to the Red Raider Classic All-Tournament team.

2000: Has proven that she will challenge for a starting role in 2001...played in 44 games this season....tallied 53 kills and five service aces...racked up 42 digs...had a season-high nine kills against Liberty in the opening game of the season

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2000 graduate of Lubbock Monterey High School in Lubbock, Texas...played volleyball, basketball and track...coached by Wilma Langdon, Jill Schnieder and Jon Ysasaga...basketball team was District Co-Champs, Area Champs and a Regional Qualifier in 1999...was a district champion and regional qualifier in track...named to the volleyball all-district first-team...first-team all-state selection...Lubbock Avalanche Journal Player of the Year...all-region selection...was an academic all-district selection in basketball, volleyball and track...

JUNIOR EXPERIENCES: Played for Texas Power...team placed fourth at the National AAU Championships in 1997...team finished seventh in 1999...was an AAU all-America in 1997 and 1999.

PERSONAL: Born Angela Mooney on August 31, 1981 in Lubbock, Texas...father Ed is self-employed and is a Texas Tech graduate...mother Sharan works for Scarburough Specialties Inc. and is a Texas Tech graduate...has three older sisters and one younger brother...Anne, Amanda, Allison and Andrew...sister Anne played volleyball at Tech...sister Amanda played basketball and ran track at Baylor...sister Allison played basketball at South Plains College and Lubbock Christian University...her father played football at Texas Tech and went on to play professionally.
