Terry Gamble spent four seasons as the Iowa Western head women's volleyball coach, most recently completing the 2008 season with a 54-6 finish, good enough for a fourth place at the NJCAA level.
He was selected to the NJCAA Volleyball Hall of Fame after his team finished with a record of 58-5 and a 7th place finish, a year after Coach Gamble's 2006 team won the school's first-ever national championship. That team posted a 60-4 record.
Gamble was named the 2006 AVCA National Coach of the Year, along with receiving the NJCAA Division I Coach of the Year and District C Coach of the Year honors.
Prior to Iowa Western, he spent six seasons at St. Clair CCC in Port Huron, MI and four seasons at Mott CC in Flint, MI. While at St. Clair he won the 2000 and 2004 DII national championship. He posted a 795-143 overall record in 15 years as a collegiate coach and has won 11 conference championships,six regional championships and his teams have been ranked in the top 20 nationally every year.
Long friendly adversaries with Coach Knight, this is Gamble's first stint as an assistant coach.
