Texas Tech will play its final regular season match of 2014 in Ames on Wednesday
A team leader over the last two seasons, is a strong and smart player who can get the job done. She will be making the transition from the leftside to the rightside in 2002. After struggling the last couple of seasons with injuries, her senior season should be her best yet.
2001 Played mostly back row during the season for the Red Raiders and was superb on the defense...tallied 359 digs which was second best on the team behind Melissa McGehee...had 107 kills...tallied a season-high 11 kills against Iowa State on Oct. 3...tallied a season-high 21 digs against Missouri on Sept. 19th.
2000: Selected team captain along with Colleen Smith...named to the all-tournament teams at the Carolina Classic and the Louisiana State Tournament...set a Texas Tech school record for digs in a single match after she posted 36 against Texas A&M on Nov.. 18...tallied 431 digs and 305 kills during the regular season...tallied 17 kills three times on the season (TCU - Sept. 5, Duke Sept. 2 and Missouri Sept. 27)...racked up over 30 digs in two different matches (Colorado Oct. 7 and Texas A&M Nov. 18)
1999: True freshman who earned a starting role at the OH position...played in 108 games...set Texas Tech freshman class record for kills with 347 and assists with 44...named to the all-tournament team at the Red Raider Classic...won team's MVP award at the volleyball banquet...racked up 389 digs...hit .667 with 14 kills against UT-Pan American 9/5/99...had season high 19 kills against Colorado 11/13/99...had two matches with 17 kills (Iowa State, Oklahoma)...tallied 51 total attempts against Colorado 11/13/99...season high 24 digs against Kansas 10/2/99.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 1999 graduate of Papillion La Vista High School in Papillion, Neb. where she played volleyball for head coach Gwen Egbert at Papillion ? also competed in basketball and track and field ? selected a 1999 Volleyball Magazine Fab-50 recruit ? four-time All State volleyball player ? broke Nebraska state high school career kills record ? notched 548 kills as a senior ? named All Nebraska, All State, All Metro after 1998 season ? led team to runner-up finish in state tournament as a senior ? team also won district and regional titles as a senior ? named to All Nebraska Third Team, All State and All Metro team after leading team to state qualifier and district title as a junior ? named All State Honorable Mention after sophomore season ? helped lead team to sophomore and senior Omaha Metro championships ? started for a state-runner-up volleyball team as a freshman ? led team to District championship four-year varsity volleyball letterwinner and starter ? two-time All State Honorable Mention and All Metro basketball player ? captain of volleyball team ? won high jump state title as a senior ? placed second at state meet in high jump as a junior ? won district high jump championship (5-5) and qualified for the state meet in the shot put ? placed fourth at state meet in high jump as a sophomore.
