Becky Verespej joins the Texas Tech volleyball program after spending four seasons as assistant coach at Iowa Western under Coach Terry Gamble. Verespej helped guide the Reiver volleyball program to an outstanding overall record of 217-23 record in four seasons (.91%), including 3 conference championships, 3 regional championships and the schools first ever NJCAA National Championship in 2006.
Prior to Iowa Western, Verespej was an assistant coach at St. Clair CCC in Port Huron, MI. During her four seasons at St. Clair CCC, the Skippers won 3 conference championships, 2 regional championships and the 2004 NJCAA DII National Championship.
Along with her coaching duties at the college level, Coach Verespej served as assistant club director for Top Ten Volleyball Club (IA) and as one of the Elite coaches with the Blue Water Volleyball Club (MI).
Verespej played volleyball at Mott CC where she was named twice to the MCCAA All Conference and All Region teams. She finished her college volleyball career at Aquinas College earning Wolverine Hoosier All Conference honors two times. Verespej was also a team captain for three years during her college career.
A native of Ubly, Mich.,Verespej graduated in 2001 from Aquinas College with a Bachelor's of Science. Becky and her husband, Dan, have a daughter, Keira (1).
