TEXAS TECH TEAM NOTES
• Today's meeting was the first-ever between Texas Tech and Furman.
• The win marked Texas Tech's second of the year in five sets as the Red Raiders also defeated Boston College in five on Aug. 25.
• The Red Raiders improved to 5-0 on the year and 8-1 all-time under Don Flora when leading 2-1 heading to the fourth set.
• Furman's .253 hitting percentage was the highest for a Tech opponent in a Red Raider victory since Connecticut hit .272 on Aug. 27 last year.
Emily Ehrle and Meghan Stacy both took more than 40 attempts in the match which marked the first time a Red Raider had done so this season.
• Head coach Don Flora turned to a young lineup once again as senior Tory Vaughan, junior Aubree Piper, sophomore Rachel Brummitt, and freshmen Emily Wright, Emily Ruetter, Lydia McKay, and Meghan Stacy were all in the starting rotation. That lineup consists of five newcomers.

HEAD COACH Don Flora
• The win improves head coach Don Flora to 293-77 a collegiate head coach and 24-18 while at Texas Tech.
• The Red Raiders improved to 10-1 in neutral site contests under Flora in just over a season.
• The win also improved the Red Raiders to 23-3 all-time in non-conference matches under Flora and 19-2 in tournament settings.

Emily Ehrle
• Ehrle connected on a career high 23 kills against Furman, marking the first time a Red Raider had reached the 20-kill plateau this season.
• It marked the most kills by a Red Raider since Amanda Dowdy connected on 26 at New Mexico on Sept. 26 last year.

Rachel Brummitt
• Brummitt reached the 20-dig mark for the fourth time this season. It was also the ninth time this year the sophomore has reached double digits.

Meghan Stacy
• Stacy recorded her third double-double of the season after finishing with 11 kills and 10 digs.
• It was her first double-double since finishing with 11 kills and 11 digs against Boston College on Aug. 25.

Emily Ruetter
• Ruetter finished with a career-high 56 assists, marking the second time this week and the second time this season she had 50 or more in a match.
• It marked the most assists for a Red Raider setter since Karlyn Meyers dished out 67 at Colorado on Oct. 13, 2010.
• Ruetter also added 11 digs on the back row for her team-leading fifth double-double of the year. She has had a double-double in half of Texas Tech's matches so far this season.
