• The match was the third all-time between Texas Tech and West Virginia and the first as Big 12 Conference members.
• The win improves the Red Raiders to 3-0 all-time against the Mountaineers and 2-0 when playing in Morgantown. The two teams had not previously met since Texas Tech took a 3-1 victory on Sept. 22, 1995, in Morgantown.
• The win snapped a nine-match losing streak for the Red Raiders, who had previously not won since defeating Houston Baptist on Sept. 14 in the Rice Invitational opener.
• The Red Raiders also scored their Big 12 road victory since defeating Colorado on Nov. 10, 2010, in Boulder.
• Texas Tech was previously 3-7 this year and 4-21 under head coach Don Flora when losing the opening set.
• The Red Raiders had not previously overcome a first-set deficit in a Big 12 match since defeating Colorado on Nov. 10, 2010, in Boulder.

• Improved to 296-86 overall as a head coach and 27-27 while at Texas Tech.
• Improved to 8-15 in true road matches while at Texas Tech.
• Improved to 2-20 in Big 12 play while at Texas Tech.
• Improved to 8-8 when going four sets while at Texas Tech.

Miara Cave
• Cave finished one kill shy of her career high that was set on Sept. 19 this year when she connected on 16 at Nevada.
• The senior also finished a dig shy of her career high as well as she totaled six in the match.

Meghan Stacy
• Stacy entered the rotation in the second set and dropped 10 kills, marking the first time she has reached double digits since recording a season-high 16 against Houston Baptist on Sept. 14.
• Her four blocks in the game also matched her season high that she had set twice previously.

Nicole Hragyil
• Hragyil recorded her first career double-double after totaling 30 assists and 10 digs after moving to setter at the start of the second set.
• Her 10 digs marked the third time in her career and the first time this season she has reached double digits.

Mikia Mills
• Mills matched her career high with eight kills that she originally set on Aug. 27 last year against Grambling State. She was also one block shy of her career high after finishing with seven in the match.
