TEXAS TECH MATCH NOTES The match served as Texas Tech's annual "Power in Pink" night where the Red Raiders wore pink jersey that will be auctioned off. It was the second time this year where the Red Raiders have sported their pink jerseys as Tech also wore them Oct. 10 in a 3-1 loss at Baylor. Oklahoma defeated Texas Tech for the 14th-consecutive time in the series that the Red Raiders still control a 34-27 advantage in all-time. Texas Tech also still leads 13-9 in matches played in Lubbock. The Red Raiders fell to 4-8 this year when dropping the opening set and 1-8 overall when heading to the break trailing 2-0 in the match. The match marked only the second time this year and only the fourth time under Don Flora where Texas Tech lost despite leading in service aces. The Red Raiders were previously 4-1 when doing so this year and 15-3 under Flora. Texas Tech had a 1,090 fans in attendance, a season high through eight matches this season.
