Final Stats

Lubbock, Texas - The Texas Tech volleyball team fell to the Colorado Buffaloes, 3-0, in Boulder, at the Coors Events Center, this evening. The Red Raiders now fall to 11-14 and 4-10 in Big 12 play. The Buffaloes secured the match win with game scores of 30-25, 30-23, 30-19. The Buffs have won seven straight matches.

The Black and Gold out-hit the Red and Black, .377-.107, on the shoulders of three of their outside hitters. Their Big 12 Player of the Week Ashley Nu'u chipped in with 45 assists. The Red Raiders were out-set 53-31.

Philister Sang carried the Tech offense once again as the junior transfer tallied 14 kills and a hitting percentage of .357 with four errors on 28 attempts. Desiree Batista anchored the defense with 12 digs and her career mark now stands at 718. There was little help from a usually productive middle tonight, as they mustered two solo blocks and eight block assists with three blocking errors.

The Red Raiders return home for a match as they host the No. 24 Kansas State Wildcats, at 7 p.m., on Wed., Nov. 9, at the United Spirit Arena.
