Red Raiders Swept on the Road|

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech volleyball team struggled on the road at Kansas, despite receiving eight kills from middle blocker Amanda Dowdy, as the Jayhawks swept the match (25-10, 25-15, 25-22).
Kansas (12-12, 6-9) jumped out to an early 10-2 lead on the Red Raiders. Tech (5-21, 0-15) only hit .100 for the set. The Red Raiders battled back and made the score 16-10 behind two kills from outside hitter Hayley Ball, but the lead was to much to overcome as Kansas won 25-15.
Kansas built another early lead of 7-3 on five-straight hitting errors by the Red Raiders. The Jayhawks dominated the set hitting .389 as a team and won 25-10.
Tech came alive in the third set behind three kills from outside hitter Amanda Sbragia. The set went back and forth as the Red Raiders had it tied 16-16 late in the third until Kansas won the set 25-22.
Dowdy led the Red Raiders with eight kills and Jen Harrell recorded 11 digs on the night.
Karina Garlington led the Jayhawks with 10 kills.
The Red Raiders stay on the road for a match against Texas on Wed., Nov. 12th.
