• The loss marked Texas Tech's 22nd-straight to Texas as the Longhorns now control a 72-9-2 all-time advantage in the series.
• The loss moved the Red Raiders to just 2-32 when playing Texas in Lubbock. Tech has not defeated the Longhorns since sweeping the series in 2000.
• The Red Raiders dropped their 48th-straight match to a ranked opponent as Tech has not defeated a top-25 team since topping then-No. 20 Kansas State on Nov. 20, 2004 in Manhattan.
• The 3-0 sweep marked Tech's third in the row dating back to facing Texas A&M on Nov. 2. The Red Raiders have not been swept in four-consecutive matches this season.
• Texas is the only team to hit above .300 against the Red Raiders this season as the Longhorns posted a .323 average on Oct. 12 in the season's earlier match before recording a .395 percentage tonight.
• Texas' 49 kills marked the second-most for a Tech opponent in three sets this season, falling two short of Baylor's total on Oct. 5 in Waco.
• Tech's one block in the match marked not only a season low but was the school's fewest over the past two seasons as well. The Red Raiders had previously been one of the top blocking teams in the country.
• Tech used a new starting rotation that did not feature either Breeann David or Miara Cave, marking the first time neither of the two attackers had started all season.

Miara Cave recorded double-digits in kills for the third time in the last five matches as she joined Amanda Dowdy with a team-high of 10.
• Her .471 hitting percentage on the night marked her highest during Big 12 play and third-highest on the season. She previously had hit .615 against Central Arkansas on Sept. 2 and .476 on Aug. 27 against Connecticut.
• It marked the sixth time Cave had hit .400 or better this season when totaling at least eight kills.

Amanda Dowdy moved over the 4,000 attack barrier as her 48 swings in the match pushed her to 4,006 for her career. She still trails Kelly Johnson by over a 1,000 attacks for the school record.
• Dowdy finished without a double-double for only the eighth time this season as she had only seven digs in the match. The senior entered the match having posted a double-double in four of Tech's last five matches.
Brandy Huskey was held to just under 10 digs for only the second time in the last six matches as the sophomore finished with eight in the match.
Sheridan Burgess made just the fourth start of her career and first of the season as she finished with a dig and an assist over two sets.
