TEXAS TECH TEAM NOTES The loss marked Texas Tech's 22nd-straight to Texas as the Longhorns now control a 72-9-2 all-time advantage in the series. The loss moved the Red Raiders to just 2-32 when playing Texas in Lubbock. Tech has not defeated the Longhorns since sweeping the series in 2000. The Red Raiders dropped their 48th-straight match to a ranked opponent as Tech has not defeated a top-25 team since topping then-No. 20 Kansas State on Nov. 20, 2004 in Manhattan. The 3-0 sweep marked Tech's third in the row dating back to facing Texas A&M on Nov. 2. The Red Raiders have not been swept in four-consecutive matches this season. Texas is the only team to hit above .300 against the Red Raiders this season as the Longhorns posted a .323 average on Oct. 12 in the season's earlier match before recording a .395 percentage tonight. Texas' 49 kills marked the second-most for a Tech opponent in three sets this season, falling two short of Baylor's total on Oct. 5 in Waco. Tech's one block in the match marked not only a season low but was the school's fewest over the past two seasons as well. The Red Raiders had previously been one of the top blocking teams in the country. Tech used a new starting rotation that did not feature either Breeann David or Miara Cave, marking the first time neither of the two attackers had started all season.
