• With the win, Kansas takes its first lead in the all-time series between the two schools as the Jayhawks now control a 17-16 advantage.
• With the win, Kansas has now won nine of the past 10 meetings with the Red Raiders.
• The loss dropped Texas Tech to 8-7 overall when facing Kansas in Lubbock.
• Texas Tech was wearing special camouflage jerseys in the match as part of this weekend's Wounded Warrior promotion.
• Tech hit .343 over the first set, marking the first time had a .300 or better average in a set since Oct. 1 against Oklahoma. The Red Raiders hit .395 during the opening set of that match.
• The Red Raiders dropped only their third match this season when winning the opening set. Two of those three losses have come to Kansas.
• A match after recording just one block against Texas Wednesday, the Red Raiders returned to their old ways and posted 10 blocks in the match. Kansas, though, controlled a 13-10 advantage in the category.

Miara Cave recorded another strong performance on the right side, dropping 12 kill off 31 attempts for a .258 hitting percentage. Cave finished with 10 kills and a .471 average this past Wednesday against 8th-ranked Texas.
• Cave had not previously posted double-digit kills in consecutive matches since recording 14 against New Mexico (Sept. 26) and 11 against Oklahoma (Oct. 1).

Amanda Dowdy and Karlyn Meyers both posted double-doubles, marking the sixth time the two seniors had both done so in a match this season.
• Dowdy finished with a team-high 14 kills and 12 digs, while Meyers had 42 assists and 10 digs.
• The double-double marked the 20th of the season for Dowdy and 34th of her career. Dowdy has had a double-double in all but seven matches this season, including five of Tech's last six matches.
• Meyers, meanwhile, posted her sixth double-double of the year and ninth of her career. It was her first one since recording 38 assists and 17 digs against Baylor on Oct. 26.



Aubree Piper finished with 10 kills in the middle, her most since returning to the Tech lineup against Baylor on Oct. 26 after a near month-long hiatus.
Breeann David's eight kills marked her most since dropping 15 against Baylor on Oct. 26. Her 26 attempts were also her most since swinging 38 times against the Bears.
Kate Foley made her first appearance in the Tech rotation since playing one set against Northwestern State on Sept. 2. The freshman finished with a season-high seven digs while playing in three sets.
Brandy Huskey recorded nine digs as a back-row substitute, finishing a dig shy of double digits for only the third time in Tech's last seven matches.
