LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech volleyball team fell on the road to No. 3 Nebraska in straight sets (25-18, 25-13, 25-12).

Tech (5-24, 0-18) went down early in the first set as much as 12-5 but fought back to 20-15 on a kill from Tyler Elley. Nebraska (26-2, 17-2) finished on a 5-3 run to win the first set.

The Red Raiders slow start continued in the second set. Tech made it 16-8 by outside hitter Hayley Ball but the Cornhuskers dominated hitting a .542 percentage in the set. Nebraska won the set 25-13.

Tech struggled in the final set with a -.133 percentage but fought back and made the score 10-8 on a kill by outside hitter Michelle Flores. The Red Raiders couldn't stay close as Nebraska took the set 25-12.

The Red Raiders were led by middle blocker Amanda Dowdy's six kills and libero Jenn Harrell's 11 digs.

Jordan Larson led No. 3 Nebraska with 15 kills and Amanda Gates chipped in 10 kills.

Tech stays on the road for a match against Texas A&M on Wed., Nov. 26th.
