Volleyball Downs Tennessee-Chattanooga

TAMPA, Fla. - The Texas Tech volleyball team improved to 5-0 on the season with a 3-0 sweep (15-9, 15-7, 15-6) over Tennessee-Chattanooga at the South Florida Tournament Friday evening.

The Red Raiders' Sonia Moric led the team with eight kills as Brande Brown added seven and Angela Cooper had six. Lisa Hilgers led Texas Tech with 35 assists.

The Red Raiders' second match of the tournament will be later Friday with a 6:30 p.m. contest against host South Florida.
