LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech volleyball coach Don Flora finalized the program's spring roster Thursday with the addition of former Colorado State standout and Amarillo native Carlie Foust.

Foust spent the 2011 season with nationally-ranked Colorado State where the former Amarillo High School product totaled 148 digs from the back row to go along with 12 service aces. She averaged 1.44 digs per set for the Rams, who advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Because she did not participate during the 2012 season, Foust will have three years of eligibility remaining beginning with the 2013 season next fall.

"Carlie is another quality addition to the program," Flora said. "She has a high volleyball IQ and has competed collegiately at a high level. It is always nice to see a local product want to be at Texas Tech and want to be part of this growing program. Carlie is a strong competitor and knows how to train and learn at a high level, and we are fortunate to add another athlete of high character."

Foust was a three-year letterwinner at Amarillo High where she helped lead the Sandies to two Class 5A State Championships from the libero position before signing with Colorado State.

The addition gives Flora a 17-player roster now as the Red Raiders head into the spring exhibition season. The entire spring schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.
