LUBBOCK, Texas - Former Texas Tech standout Kristen Oberzan joined the Heart of America Havoc professional volleyball team this week, the Kansas City-based club announced.

Oberzan, formerly Kristen Holmes, starred at Texas Tech from 1995-98 where she helped lead the Red Raiders to three NCAA Tournament appearances, including a trip to the second round during her freshman campaign.

She played in 126 matches during that span, eighth-most in program history, and remains a regular in the Texas Tech career and single-match record books.

Oberzan will join 18 other players for the Havoc, who play in the Premier Volleyball League, a professional, regionally-based indoor women's league that is sanctioned by USA Volleyball.
