Texas Tech volleyball coach Jeff Nelson announced today the dates for the sixth annual Spring Fling grass volleyball tournament. The event will take place on Saturday, April 29 at the grass field on the southeast side of the United Spirit Arena. The all day tournament is set to begin at 8 a.m.

Sponsors of the 2000 tournament include radio stations KLLL and KMMX, Aalon Saloon, Powerade and Cox Communications.

The Spring Fling will feature over $5,000 in cash and prizes including round trip airline and Texas Rangers tickets. There will be 30 courts and an estimated 120 teams competing in 10 divisions. The divisions will consist of two corporate, two open, two "A" divisions, four youth divisions and a coed division.
