Texas Tech Announces Spring Volleyball Dates|
Jenna Allen and the Red Raiders will open the spring schedule March 28 against Wayland Baptist.

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech head volleyball coach Don Flora announced Tuesday the program's spring competition dates which consists of one home tournament and another match scheduled at the United Spirit Arena.
"Having a spring focused on our individual and collective development is key," said Flora, who will enter his fourth season on the Tech bench in 2014. "It is already apparent in our gym and weight room that this group of athletes understand the demands of this phase of training. Seeing `quality effort' everyday has been good so far this spring."
The Red Raiders open the spring at home on March 28 with an evening match against a Wayland Baptist program this is coming off a 36-7 season in 2013 where the Pioneers ended the year ranked fourth in NAIA after advancing all the way to the national semifinals.
Tech will then turn around the next weekend and travel to Ruidoso, N.M. for a full-day workout with reigning Western Athletic Conference (WAC) champion New Mexico State. The Red Raiders and Aggies will practice with each other in the morning before scrimmaging later that afternoon.
The Red Raiders will host their annual spring tournament on April 12, bringing in the likes of West Texas A&M, New Mexico Military Institute and Wayland Baptist. Tech concludes the spring the following weekend at the Lone Star College Showcase to be held April 19 at the Dallas Convention Center.
Flora returns 15 letterwinners from the 2013 season this spring to go along with Lauren Douglass, who was forced to sit out this past fall after transferring to Tech from Ole Miss.
