LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech volleyball coach Don Flora announced the program's spring schedule Tuesday afternoon which includes trips to Hawaii and the Dallas Metroplex along with a set of matches at the United Spirit Arena.

"As a program, we are continuing to work hard in the gym and we are looking forward to these competition opportunities as times to assess our development and growth," said Flora, who will enter his third season on the Tech bench next fall. "We have a high quality group of athletes working every day at their individual and team development. It has been a great spring environment in 2013."

The Red Raiders open the spring with a week-long trip to Hawaii on March 11-16 where Tech will face Hawaii Pacific University and the University of Hawaii. The Spring Break trip will also include training sessions with both teams along with team-building activities as well.

Tech will play its only home date on March 28 with a 9:30 a.m. first serve against Midland College before returning to the United Spirit Arena floor later that evening to battle cross-town Lubbock Christian University at 6 p.m. Both matches will be open to the public free of charge.

The Red Raiders will then head to the Dallas area twice to close the spring, beginning with an all-day tournament April 6 at UT Arlington. Tech will also compete in the Lonestar College Showcase for the second-straight year on April 20 at the Dallas Convention Center.

Flora returns 15 players from the 2012 season while also adding two in sophomore transfers Carlie Foust and Jenna Allen. The 17-player spring roster is the largest in Flora's tenure.
