LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech incoming freshmen Breeann David and Amy Rose will participate in Wednesday night's Texas Girls Coaches Association All-Star Game being held at the Delco Activity Center in Austin.

The match is slated for a 5:30 p.m. first serve. Both David and Rose will represent the West squad that consists of the state's top seniors at the 1A, 2A, and 3A levels.

David arrives at Tech following a successful four-year career at nearby Denver City High School where she set the school records for kills, blocks and assists. She was an all-state selection all four years and was also named an Under Armour Honorable Mention All-American following her senior season.

Rose, meanwhile, comes to Tech via Monahans High School where she led the Loboes to multiple playoff appearances during her career. A three-year starter, Rose was a multiple all-district selection and earned all-district and all-state academic honors as well.

Both student-athletes are currently enrolled in classes at Tech and have been participating in summer workouts with the rest of the Red Raiders. The volleyball program officially reports for the 2011 season on Aug. 8.
