LUBBOCK, Texas - A variety of promotional events for fans and the chance to play on its home court for the first time this season awaits the 2009 Texas Tech Volleyball squad, as Tech hosts Texas A&M on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 2 p.m.

"We're so looking forward to playing at home," senior libero/defensive specialist Jenn Goehry, who now is eighth on Tech's all-time digs list with 1,109 defensive plays, said of the upcoming match with the Aggies.

"We have played in some really great venues and been to some places with some great crowds, but there's nothing like playing in front of your family and friends on our home court. We're all really excited for this match."

The start time was moved to an afternoon event to afford everyone who isn't making the trek to Austin the opportunity to get home in order to enjoy ABC's featured football game, Texas Tech at Texas (perhaps you've heard about it?).

Plenty of promotional activities and fun are planned for the Volleyball match on Saturdays such as:

Camper reunion night! All volleyball summer campers and their parents will receive complimentary admission as we look forward to seeing you again!

All tickets for youth are $3 and their parents get in free.

Guns Up Kids Club members receive complimentary admission.

A post-game autograph session with players and coaches will also take place and special posters will be provided to fans. Fans are also encouraged to bring any other special items to get autographed post-match as well.
