Tech has not been nationally ranked since Dec. 1, 1998 when the team was No. 22 in the AVCA poll. Nebraska and Texas A&M are the other Big 12 schools ranked this week (Nebraska No.1, Texas A&M No. 23).

HUGHES-JUSTICE IS NUMBER ONE!!!!

Texas Tech junior outside hitter Heather Hughes-Justice is ranked No. 1 in this week's NCAA Division 1 Volleyball Standings for service aces. Hughes-Justice had 48 aces as of Monday (Oct. 2) and increased that number to 49 after posting a season-low one service ace against Oklahoma on Wednesday.

She is just six aces away from tying the Texas Tech season record of 55 set by Christine Martin back in 1996.
