Tech Ready For Top-Ranked Clash|

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech University community is gearing up for a big weekend in Red Raider sports as the both the football and volleyball teams will host No. 1 ranked Nebraska on Saturday.
The Nebraska football team will come into Jones SBC Stadium for a 6 p.m. match-up with the Red Raiders on Saturday. The Cornhuskers are the No. 1 ranked team in the land in both the Associated Press poll and ESPN/Coaches poll. The game will be televised nationally by Fox Sports Net. Tickets still remain for the game and can be purchased through the Texas Tech Athletic Ticket office by calling 806-742-TECH or by logging on to www.texastech.com.
The Tech volleyball team will put their No. 20 national ranking and second place Big 12 standing to the test when it plays host to undefeated and top-ranked Nebraska at 1 p.m. on Saturday in United Spirit Arena. Texas Tech will be looking to set an all-time attendance record at a volleyball match on Saturday. The Texas Tech ticket office has announced that free admission will be available at the volleyball match by showing your Tech/Nebraska football game ticket. Fans who don't have tickets to Saturday's football game can purchase tickets at the ticket office in United Spirit Arena. Ticket prices are $5 for adults and $3 for students.
In preparation for Tech's weekend rumble with Nebraska, the university will hold a Raider Rally/Bonfire on Friday at 9:30 p.m. The pep rally and bonfire will be held in the student recreation fields just east of the United Spirit Arena. The Tech cheerleaders, pom squad, gunfire kickline, Goin' Band From Raiderland, saddle tramps and the Masked Rider will all be participating in the pep rally and bonfire.
Following the conclusion of the bonfire, Tech fans are urged to walk the short distance over to the United Spirit Arena and help the Red Raiders and Lady Raiders usher in the start of basketball season at Midnight Madness. Midnight Madness begins at 10:35 p.m. at United Spirit Arena and is free to the public.
