MANHATTAN, Kansas - No. 23 Kansas State placed four players in double digit kills as it defeated Texas Tech 3-0 (15-8, 15-12, 17-15) Saturday evening before 1,358 tans in Ahearn Fieldhouse. The win improves K-State to 6-2 in the Big 12 and 12-5 overall while Texas Tech dropped to 3-5 (Big 12) and 14-7 overall.

The Red Raiders hurt themselves with 15 service errors but outblocked the Wildcats 17-7. Lori Garber had a sensational game in leading Texas Tech with 16 kills, 12 digs, eight blocks and a .406 hitting percentage. Courtney Putnam contributed 13 kills and Sonia Moric finished with 10 kills, a .348 hitting percentage and six total blocks.

Kansas State placed four players in double digits including Dawn Cady (19 kills), Kim Zschau (17 kills), Liz Wegner (14 kills) and Kelle Branting (10 kills).
