Hilgers Named Big 12 Volleyball Player of the Week

Dallas - Texas Tech's Lisa Hilgers was named Big 12 Conference Volleyball Player of the Week as she averaged 15.29 assists and 3.71 digs per game in the Red Raiders' wins over No. 17 Kansas State and Baylor.

The 5-5 senior setter posted 62 assists, 12 digs and six kills in the win over KSU and notched 45 assists, 14 digs and five kills in the Baylor victory.

Hilgers, a Victoria, Minn., native, broke the Texas Tech records for career games played and for assists for a senior. She now has 454 career games played and 5,676 career assists. Hilgers holds all four Texas Tech class records and the career record for assists. The Big 12 Conference completes its regular season this Saturday, Nov. 28. NCAA pairings will be announced on the selection show Sunday, Nov. 29, at 7:30 p.m. central time. Satellite Coordinates are: Galaxy 6, Transponder 9 (C-Band).
